- What is your profession?
- Designer, technical draughtsman
- Do you have other hobbies besides fencing?
- Skating, music, but above all spending time with the family
- How long have you been fencing?
- Since 2022
- What do you like most about this sport?
- That it is a total sport: physical, mental, reaction, technique — and when you are at it, there is no room for everyday worries.
- Do you have a signature move?
- Not really, but I usually find a way to make things difficult for my opponent.
- What was your most exciting or challenging fencing moment or match so far?
- I don't really have one single moment — I mostly love scoring beautiful points. As the A-Team would say: I love it when a plan comes together.
- What is a common misconception people have about fencing?
- How a point is scored and how you can tell. A quick demonstration makes it clear straight away.
- Which skills do you consider most important for a good fencer?
- As I said, it is a total sport — the more qualities you combine, the better the fencer.
- What tip(s) would you give to beginners?
- Fun is key — winning is nice, but a beautifully executed point against a tough opponent is the best feeling.
